Hello Week. We all feel the pull of the seasons and I wanted to wish January a beautiful good bye.
Over the past week, we’ve had snow, rain and ice but, the days are lengthening and I feel like a bear coming out of hibernation. Actually, I’m very excited to have more time in the days for project that need natural lighting and have more about that soon*.
(*Prints + more (truly) available soon. Thank you both, from the bottom on my heart, for asking for pieces for yourselves and for your patience to those who are both waiting for prints and portrait commissions.)
Home: I can think of nothing more beautiful for young and old to make in the winter than Ice Lanterns.
In the Kitchen: If you follow along with the blog, then I wonder if you saw my favourite RAW BROWNIES, last week, that make me feel like I’m splurging mid-week, even if I’m really not. I made these twice last week. The second time, I made them with hasselnuts because one of my kids is allergic to cashews and walnuts. I think that these really taste like brownies with the walnuts; but, if you’re like my son and can’t have walnuts, these work with hasselnuts, too but, I feel like then, they taste more like chocolate-nut bars. Delicious and worth the swop if you have the allergy, too; but, not quite a brownie. I promise to share if I figure out the perfect fix.
Looking back: Looking back one year. I felt that though my blog had been in hibernation over the past year years but, yes: there were posts that were tried and true: from my ESL class with 5 year olds and from my weekly Art Camp last year, too. If you’re looking to make something, seasonal, with your hands, maybe one of these will be just right for you.
